The eleanor baby name consultancy was set up in 2007 to offer a personal service to couples struggling to decide on a name for their baby.

Choosing a name for your baby is the most important decision you have to make as a parent. Whatever you choose will be with them for life, and will influence the image potential teachers, friends, colleagues and employees have of your son or daughter. Naming your baby isn't something you should take lightly or leave to the last minute; it should be a consulted, well-thought out decision.

eleanor knows that naming your baby is also an extremely personal thing to do, and that is where we can help.

eleanor was established to provide an alternative to the influx of books, websites and forums full of strangers offering impersonal baby name advice. Instead, eleanor offers the UK's first personal service for expectant mothers having difficulty choosing a name for their baby.

We are a small team who have been interested in names ever since childhood. We devote a large amount of our free time to researching all manner of baby names.

eleanor is based in the south-east of the UK with excellent rail and road links to the capital, so personal consultations are easily accessible.
